Deal Area Emergency Foodbank
Living Jesus' Nazereth Manifesto, of Social Action, the Church, along with many others across the community, seek both to staff distribution centres with volunteers and the much needed grocery resources given through a monitored and managed voucher system to needy families and individuals who are often in crisis due to late payments of benefits or through the need to meet unexpected capital expenditure of clothing or home furnishings.
The Church is a recognised collection point with the familiar green bin in the Church Hall for donated items. The current needs are posted on the DAEF website (click here)
Regular news and prayer requests are sent through to the Church's Liaison Volunteer, Rita Bishop and updates posted on the Noticeboard in the Hall and in the Weekly Contact Sheet.
Until health issues limited his community activities, the Church's Minister, The Revd Seyan Tills, was a Founding Trustee, and served as Interim a Chair for a number of months until April 2016.
